i really dig your haiku's nathan, really get me thinking.
thanks mate. funny, until you mentioned it, i didn't realise this poem had the right number of syllables for a traditional 5/7/5 haiku. it was just a little objectivist piece i wrote years ago, after driving through the mountains on a little weekend surf trip. i guess it was inspired by the work of wiliam carlos williams & e. e. cummings, two of my favourites. maybe i'll post up some more poems down the track. thanks for the encouragement.
yes, please do post more in the future. as i recited it aloud, i thought to myself 'this is definitely a haiku- i should try some of those sometime..'super inspiring. always fun to let out your heart through words rather than photos at times.
thanks mate. it all began with poems for me. then photography, shaping, filming etc came later down the track. you're right, it's good to mix things up.
