Yours Truly

Here's me, from a few months back, towards the end of a long day of shooting along the points of Noosa, captured by my buddy Dane. I'm feeling equal parts knackered & stoked here. I'm tired because this was at the end of one of several long days in a row of collecting footage in between dodging rain squalls & intense sunshine, but I'm happy because I know I have something special in the can. Yew!

Holding Dreams

Some of you may remember about this time last year I documented Paul Joske logging the grove of paulownia trees he had planted over a decade earlier. Paul's longtime dream has been to build a surfboard from seed to sea, & I am following & documenting his progress as part of my next film. After a year of allowing the timber to cure, the logs were finally ready for milling a couple of weeks back. Here is Paul, with a piece of timber fresh out of the Lucas Mill, holding part of his dream in his hands.

Mi Familia

A sketch of our family by my wife Eliza. This is a study for a portrait painting she is working on. I think it's beautiful.

Tarp Pits

Cyrus put this together a while back for the Sacred Craft Virtual Film Festival, & has just made the link live. Such a creative, whimsical piece of filmmaking. Pure fun.

Band Of Frequencies

My mate Shannon 'Sol' Carroll & his Band Of Frequencies have had a nice piece penned on them by Tim Baker in Surfing World. Deservedly so!

Low Rider

Spent a few days with my mate Dane Peterson recently to hang out & to get some footage for my next film. His surfing jut keeps on getting better & better, & he's definitely one of my favourite people to shoot with, for sure.

Carles Puyol is my hero. Here he is sinking this header into the back of the net to give Spain a 1-0 victory over Germany. Spain goes into her first World Cup Final ever! I cried tears of joy this morning. So happy!
