My mate Johnny's just made this exquisite short for Art Park featuring the timeless photography of Joni Sternbach. So good.

I'm really feeling the simple joy & beauty embedded in the whimsical work of Maddie Joyce. More here.

My good mate Mick Waters has made a sweet little short for Patagonia featuring the steezy sliding of another good mate Johnny Abegg. It makes me want to go surfing! Great work Mick.

Brett Caller sets the edge in on his alaia at a hidden back beach up north. It's always inspiring for me to watch Bretto ride alaias, because he's equally good, forehand & backhand, while I'm a bit of a hack. An enthusiastic hack, but a hack nonetheless.

Old mate DP standing tall & proud as a little peeler unloads across the cobblestones. Another one of surfing's delicious, useless moments.

Looks like the fry was a lot of fun. Congrats, Grant, on your great work. Surfing deserves such happy gatherings of surfers/shapers willing to share their beautiful ideas. I wish I could have been there.

So wonderful to have this truly beautiful surfer play a part in my next film.

Autumn has begun in our part of the world. Sure, summer's gone, with all its long days & deep heat & beach weather, but as Keats penned, Autumn 'hast thy music too.' It's my favourite time of the year: warm water, cool evenings, less crowds, offshores, south swells. Stoked!
