To The End Of Generations

“Whoever teaches his son teaches not alone his son but also his son's son, and so on to the end of generations.” Hebrew Proverb.

The surfing world is wide & wonderful, & I appreciate its breadth & beauty. But contrary to the backflipping youth & tow-in-death-slabs that so dominate mainstream media, there are spaces in between that the rest of us can find. Take this moment as a case in point for all of those out there that appreciate the smaller, simpler things of a surfing life. This is my dear beloved father & treasured first born son working on Dad's latest backyard creation, an 8'1" mini-pig for those days that are just a little too big for the log, but where you still want to experience those peak moments of trim & swing weight that a big fin & wide hips provide. Sure, it's not extraordinary or ground-breaking, but for us at least, it holds significance & meaning. These are some of the kinds of sentiments I hope to include in my next film. As always, thanks for dropping in to have a Look & Sea.

  4. I own a Shane Oldfield log purchased through E bay, it's one of my favorite logs! Good to see Shane is still producing quality rides. As a Central Coast local I will never sell it. Keep up the good work.......
