The Poetry of the Earth

After nearly two full days of flying/transit/flying, we are finally home. Back at work today, jet-lagged & more than a little sad that the adventure is over. Lots of footage to edit & many photos to go through. I'll be sure to post them up here & get this little blog up & running again on a more regular basis.

"The poetry of the earth," wrote Keats, "is never dead." I was reminded of this constantly on my travels. Here's a small view of the grandeur of the Basque Country.

Margaux x Keep A Breast

My sea sister Margaux is having a show for Keep A Breast this weekend in Biarritz.

Keep A Breast X Margaux from the Fresh area on Vimeo.

We are looking forward to being there. If you can make it, please come & say hello.

Big Screen

Making surf films can sometimes be a lonely business: hours alone on the beach collecting footage, & many more solo hours editing in front of a small computer screen. So it’s always nice to kick back & see all that work unfold on a big screen, especially when it’s is on the promenade of the beach in Zarautz, in the Basque Country, just after sunset, & you are drinking ice cold San Miguels with family & friends in a beautiful summer evening. It was a night to savour, & I was grateful. A special thanks to my friends at Muskaria surf shop & Debolex films for their wonderfully generous hospitality.
